Turtle Watercolour Painting Tutorial
This is probably my most colourful tutorial yet, a stunning turtle. Using wet on wet and letting our outer colours bleed slightly into the background allow this to create the impression of water without losing the high value colours that make this guy come to life. We create a soft and light background without having to fill the page with a blue sea for the impression of water. We add gouache and Payne’s Gray with our rigge brush work to accent our lights and darks whilst mixing a really vibrant purple to make the opposing yellows and greens subtly stand out. You’ll be proud to frame this one!
