The Pug 

Limited pallet with lots of layering and texture 

This crazy looking pug is using just two colours, ok we add a tiny bit of blue too just to cool a small area but it really is using just two colours. Wonky popping out eye and squashed up nosed made the pug one of the worlds favourite dogs. We use wet on wet and wet on dry techniques to build up layers and tonal value, then we add some rigger work and of course some splashing to creating areas of light and dark using grey and gouache.
